I am 24 years old and have two older brothers, making me the baby of the family. I am from the Dallas area, have spent a few months in greater London, and now reside in New York City.
I make it a point to surround myself with positive and humble people as I find them to be the most inspiring and make up the most fulfilling relationships in my life. I like dogs, making lists, getting lost in works of fiction and laughing at ridiculous hypothetical situations(!). I have a penchant for romantic details and all things hyper-feminine. In December of 2011 I graduated with a degree in fashion merchandising, but I would like to be involved in PR/social media outreach and eventually become a full-time writer.
Although overwhelmingly average in other aspects of life, there are three things I am regularly complimented on: the quality of advice I give, my eye for fashion, and the engaging way in which I write. Friends of mine tell me that I am the one they turn to for level-headed advice on common yet tricky life situations, and since they find my perspective particularly helpful I figured other women might benefit as well. Therefore, baileypowell.com was born. Fashion was incorporated into the blog organically as I believe the essence of a well-rounded woman includes both inner and outer beauty. I think in order to live life to the fullest it’s imperative to be proactive and make positive changes every day, and baileypowell.com is dedicated to the women who make that their mantra.
The vignettes from my dark comedy life are are just bonus material.
